The Red Rover mine was discovered in 1882. It was located north of Humbolt Peak and the Seven Springs area at the Yavapai County line. Some exceptionally high grade copper and silver was mined. One of the longest-running operations, the Red Rover mined more than 5,000 tons of ore in 1929. In 14 months of operations between 1934 and 1935, the mine yielded more than $45,000 in copper and silver. Milling stopped at the Red Rover mine in 1941 and the entire operation ceased in 1949.
