The cabin was not served by electricity, gas, water or sewer in its service as a TB convalescent structure. However, the corner of the cabin exhibits a "dry sink." Santos Rubira installed the sink and a wood stove when he converted the structure into a vacation cabin in the 1940's. The building was subsequently restored to its original condition after it was donated to the museum by removing the sink and stove. The photo displays a ghost image of where the sink exited the building.
