A photograph of a pitcher and basin as well as a pot and quilt. These are some of the items used to furnish the cabin. Cabins were grouped around an administrative house where meals were served and bathroom facilities were provided, so there was not a need provide much beyond the basics. Local women often brought in food for the weak patients. It was believed that clean dry air and sunshine were restorative and healing to the TB patients.
