The cabin's light, handy-man type construction and very unique framing point to its evolution from a tent. The sparseness of this building demonstrates the bleak existence of those who occupied it and others like it. Many of these sturdy people overcame their afflictions and were pivotal in the development of Arizona and the Southwest. Note the bracing at the windows, as the structure still exhibited signs of being moved to the Museum grounds in 1984.
