The cast bronze plaque commemorates the TB cabin's placement on the National Historic Register of Places by the US Department of Interior and the National Park Service on October 28, 2001. The cabin's significance is "a design unique to the many tubercular cabins in Arizona in the early twentieth century as one of the last remaining intact and in original condition. The building is significant to the migration to Arizona of many of the persons who settled in and populated southwestern United States."
